Susan Litwinetz grew up on the East Coast but found her home when she moved to the Rocky Mountains to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, which she found especially useful in her career as an educator, teaching high school English in Virginia.
After retiring from education in 2010 and returning to Colorado, Susan discovered her passion for photography. She's inspired by the people, culture and natural beauty of the American West, and all points north of the Arctic Circle.
Her work has been featured in Outdoor Photographer Magazine, the Louisville National Juried Photography Show, Boulder County Parks and Open Space "Land Through the Lens" Photography Contest, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Photography Contest, City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Exhibits and in local businesses. In addition to being featured in competitions and exhibits, Susan has been a guest speaker for the Colorado Nature Camera Club of Boulder, Colorado.
Susan and her husband, Paul, enjoy spending time together hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and getting up early to watch the sunrise at Rocky Mountain National Park. They make their home in Boulder, Colorado.
